T-Shirts and Mats
Frequently Asked Questions

    T-Shirts

  How do I get prices?
Many printers post stock prices. Because of the fluctuation of both wholesale prices and our regular bulk purchases at sale prices, we are able to give discounts on many items at any given time. To get the best possible pricing, please call 800-280-9682 or e-mail for a quote.

  Can I order online?
No. Because of the large number of variables and the intricacies of each individual project, the safest and most efficient way to ensure perfect results is to contact us directly by calling our 800 phone number or by e-mail.

Do I need to supply my own artwork?
No, but you can if you'd like. Although we can reproduce your artwork, our staff will create finished artwork for you. We start with thumb-nail sketches from your idea and work towards the finished product from there. Generally you'll get two or three sketches to choose from at which point you can pick one or mix and match aspects from each of the sketches. Once the idea is complete, we work up a finished piece that you can see on your desktop.

If I supply the artwork, what format does it need to be in?
Unless you are a graphics engineer and have experience with Photoshop, Illustrator, Freehand, or Corel, please call before you begin any digital artwork. For the most part, jpeg, gif, bmp, ppt, qxl are not conducive to strong results and require extensive reworking. Even though a piece of artwork may look beautiful on the monitor, it may not be set for the proper resolution, layers, color gamut, trapping, etc., to achieve the desired results. Drawings and photographs generally reproduce very well. However, DO NOT FOLD OR MARK THEM UP! Enclose any written directions on separate sheets of paper.

How many colors can I use for my print?
Pretty much as many as you'd like. We have as many as 14 print heads on any one press but by means of mixing colors and simulating colors through blending, there is virtually no limit to the number of finished colors.

  Are there minimums?
Yes. Our minimum for one or two color imprints is 72 pieces. More than two colors is 144 pieces.

What is the turnaround time for my shirts?
As a rule, once the artwork is approved, turnaround is about 1-2 weeks. If you get in a bind and have a short delivery date, let us know. We'll work with you if we can and we'll let you know if we can't. (We promise not to laugh.)

Should I use 100% cotton or blended T-Shirts?
In almost all cases, the 100% cotton is the way to go. The all cotton shirt is much more comfortable to wear and with all of the new manufacturing processes, the shape and size of the shirt stays very consistent. The exception comes primarily when working with youth shirts. The blended shirts are a bit more wear and tear resistant and can survive the playground a little better.

If I run out, can I get more?
Yes. Re-runs of 36 pieces or more are charged at the same rate as the original run.

Does Cotton Graphics do contract printing?
Yes. We're happy to print customer-supplied shirts. Contact us for pricing and minimum quantities.

    Mats

What type of mats does Cotton Graphics sell?
Our floor mats are flocked oelfin polyester with vinyl backing. We can flock mats in 18"x27", 2'x3', 3'x5', and 4'x6' sizes. The mats are available in a large number of carpet colors with an even larger selection of image colors. For cost reasons, mats almost always have a one-color image. In other words, they have one flock (foreground) color and one mat (background) color. You may order a variety of mat colors for no extra cost but we charge extra to vary the flock color because of the cleanup involved.

Where can I see examples of some of your mats?
Here is a gallery of our mats. Hope you like cats! Click on any mat for a larger picture.

Why does the RV industry love these floor mats?
Our 18"x27" mats are perfect RV dealers and manufacturers. Here are some of the reasons:

  • Mats put that eye-catching space at the entrance to good promotional use.
  • Mats dress up travel trailers and fifth-wheel trailers at shows. They can be used at the top and bottom of stairs.
  • Mats protect the interior of units in the showroom and on the lot.
  • Mats are a great thank-you gift for customers. Mats are welcome promo items that stay in a prominent place, assuring that your message continues to be seen.
  • Dealers, help shoppers remember where they are.
  • Carpet remnants are an afterthought, and look like it. Let your customers see something nice: your logo!
  •
What is the turnaround time for my mats?
Six weeks. Can you believe it? Sometimes we do better, but six weeks is the only safe answer. One reason is that the flocked mat industry is small. The flocking fibers, with thousands of combinations of length, diameter, and color, are dyed to order rather than sitting in the manufacturer's inventory. So if a big job used up all of the flock in the color we need for your job, we order more and the flock manufacturer makes a new batch. All of this takes time. Order early to get your mats in time for an RV show or a marketing campaign.

      How much do mats cost?
Pricing for 18"x27" mats with one color of flocking is as follows: 10 mats $14.54 each, 25 mats $13.48 each, 100 mats $12.85 each, 250 mats $12.55 each. Additionally, the initial setup fee is $70.00 and re-setup for reorders of the same design within 18 months is $20.00.

Do you sell big mats for my entranceways?
Yes, we sell 2'x3', 3'x5', and 4'x6' mats as well. 4'x6' mats cost $97.45 if you order just one and $93.80 if you order five. Additionally, the initial setup for a design up to 36" wide is $70.00 and $120 for designs over 36". Re-setup for reorders of the same design within 18 months is $20.00.
